Batuk Bhairav
Batuk Bhairav is a youthful and benevolent form of Lord Bhairav, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva associated with protection, annihilation of evil, and guardianship of sacred spaces. In the form of Batuk Bhairav, the deity is seen as a child or teenager (Batuk = boy), symbolizing innocence, agility, and untamed divine energy that is both approachable and potent.

Batuk Bhairav is said to have manifested to destroy demons who threatened divine order. He is especially venerated in Tantric and Shaivite traditions. He is one of the Ashta Bhairavas (eight forms of Bhairav) but holds a unique place due to his youthful form. Often seen holding weapons and accompanied by a dog (his vahana), he represents fearlessness, protection, and divine alertness.
